"Where Film and Muse come together in astonishing ways "

In the mid sixties, and yes, I remember them, I lived next door to an amazing young talent. Her name is Suzanne Wallach. She sings, but then she was known as Suzy Wallis, and had a kids show called " Suzy's Playroom.  It was shown on Channel 2 in Saint Louis Missouri, which was the ABC affiliate station.

Suzy hosted the show, sang and played cartoons. She was on in the early afternoon. Hey, did I say SHE LIVED NEXT DOOR to me. This was huge.

She was showcased as a guest on the Variety Show Telethon as well, a local and wonderful organziation that raises funding for local charities.

Loren Green from the Bonanza fame was in Saint Louis doing a show that week as well. He came to the telethon and heard Suzanne and basically freaked out.

He asked her mother, Ellen Wallach (an artist herself in portraint enamaling) if he could talk about bringing Suzanne to Las Vegas to open his act for him out there.

She went.

She was awarded a contract out in LA to do three 45's and life was wild to this 13 year old girl. she was white soul. No one sounded like Suzy.

She recorded "Be My Man" (which hit top 60)and B side "Little Things like That". Next was "Kisses on Paper" and B side "NuNaNeNa". Following was .....

As things go, Suzanne grew up into the late 60s, started to play guitar and sing into the folk rock of the time. Man could she sing.

She was and is astounding.

Suzanne grew up in the 60s and 70s, recorded and played with the Beach Boys, Charles Lydd, Sergio Mendez, and others.

Our film currently called "Little Things Like That" will tell her story then and today.
